The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have recovered the bodies of six hostages in Gaza, tragically marking the end of a brutal ordeal that began during the Hamas attacks on October 7. Among the deceased is Hersh Goldberg-Polin, a 23-year-old American citizen whose abduction had drawn significant attention and concern. Goldberg-Polin’s parents had even addressed the Democratic National Convention, hoping to raise awareness and gather support for their son’s rescue.
The other victims, also identified in the raid, include Eden Yerushalmi, 24, Carmel Gat, 39, Almog Sarusi, 26, Alex Lubnov, 32, and Ori Danino, 25. The IDF forces located their bodies in a tunnel beneath the city of Raffah, a known militant stronghold and one of the last remaining areas under Hamas control in the Gaza Strip.

This discovery follows ongoing tensions between the Biden-Harris Administration and the Israeli government.
