This debate has already sparked controversy, as Harris’s team has reportedly requested a seated format and the use of a “cheat sheet” during the event. Such a request, which has never been seen in a live debate before, was met with immediate condemnation from Trump’s campaign. They argue that this is yet another example of Harris’s reluctance to engage in direct confrontation and her inability to handle the pressure of live debates.

“Enough with the games. We accepted the ABC debate under the exact same terms as the CNN debate,” stated Trump campaign spokesman Jason Miller. He further explained, “The Harris camp, after having already agreed to the CNN rules, asked for a seated debate, with notes, and opening statements. We said no changes to the agreed-upon rules.”
