In a dramatic escalation of their ongoing investigation, FBI agents executed a search warrant at the Tennessee residence of Congressman Andy Ogles (R-TN), intensifying scrutiny over allegations of falsifying campaign finance reports. The first-term Republican, who recently won the Republican primary against Courtney Johnston, now faces a fresh wave of legal challenges as he seeks re-election to the U.S. Congress.
On Wednesday, Ogles took to social media to reveal that his cell phone had been seized during the FBI raid. However, the FBI has remained tight-lipped about the operation, with a spokesperson deferring all inquiries to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee.
