In a significant legal development, the New York Court of Appeals has refused to consider former President Donald Trump’s challenge against the gag order imposed during his recent hush money trial, where he faced allegations. On Tuesday, the state’s top court declared the appeal inadmissible, citing the absence of a “substantial constitutional question.”
The decision ensures the continuation of the gag order issued by State Judge Juan Merchan. This order prohibits Trump from making derogatory statements against a range of individuals involved in the trial, including witnesses, prosecutors, jurors, and court staff, as well as their families and the families of both the judge and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
