In a significant development, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) is taking steps to revoke the gun license of former President Donald Trump, as reported by a high-ranking police official to CNN.
Donald Trump’s ability to legally carry concealed firearms in New York has come under scrutiny. His license was initially suspended quietly on April 1, 2023, just after he faced a series of controversial indictments in the state. Out of the three pistols that were listed under his license, two were surrendered to the NYPD on March 31, 2023. The third firearm was reportedly relocated to Florida legally, according to the same police source.

This action comes in the wake of Trump’s recent conviction on May 30, 2024, where he faced 34 felony charges in a case that has sparked significant debate over its legitimacy.
