In a 176-page court document on February 2, Willis confirmed her contact with Wade in response to a request filed on January 8 by Roman’s counsel seeking her exclusion from the case.
Roman’s counsel countered Wade’s affidavit, which was attached to Willis’s February 2 petition, stating that the connection didn’t begin before 2022, by citing a friend of Wade’s who could attest to the fact that it began before Willis became district attorney.
“Willis and Wade claim they did not have a personal, romantic relationship before Willis appointed Wade as a special prosecutor, but Terrence Bradley (‘Bradley’) will refute that claim,” According to the Daily Caller, Ashleigh Merchant, Roman’s attorney, stated in the complaint.
“Bradley is an attorney and a member of the Georgia Bar. Bradley and Wade were friends and business associates. Bradley has non-privileged, personal knowledge that the romantic relationship between Wade and Willis began before Willis being sworn as the district attorney for Fulton County, Georgia, in January 2021,” The publication said the filing was still ongoing.

Two previously unannounced excursions that Wade and Willis took together—a December 2022 Bahamas cruise and a March 2023 trip to Belize—were also mentioned by Merchant in the filing on Friday.
This week, a private investigator for Trump’s legal team said that recently discovered cellphone data raises questions regarding Willis and Wade’s earlier sworn declarations.
According to The Epoch Times, Trump’s Georgian legal team employed a private investigator to get access to the DA’s and her special counsel’s correspondence. According to a court document, the inquiry allegedly found that the couple exchanged over 2,000 calls and 12,000 messages in 2021, casting doubt on the chronology of their connection.
The private investigator Charles Mittelstadt’s report claims that he utilized the geo-mapping and analyzing tool CellHawk to observe that “more than 2,000 voice calls and just under 12,000 text messages [were] exchanged over the 11-month period in 2021” between the two.
His report also featured a heat map that “highlights the interaction patterns which demonstrate a prevalence of calls made in the evening hours.”
According to the evidence given to the court, Willis and Wade were in regular communication prior to stating that their romance began. Although they both claim that it started in 2022, old buddy Robin Yeartie disagrees.
Yeartie stated that in 2019, around two years prior to Wade being recruited for the case, she witnessed them having a romantic relationship.
