Seth MacFarlane was chastised by Joe Rogan for supporting a piece that denigrated President Biden’s age as a “superpower,” a move that was met with contempt. Furthermore, Rogan raised worries about what he saw as economic “gaslighting”. Despite the administration’s claims of a “booming” economy, persistent problems have hurt Biden’s popularity ratings.
“People are constantly trying to figure out a way to manipulate the reality of the world to get their guy past you including high-level gaslighting,” Rogan informed Chris Williamson, a podcast guest. “I mean we’ve seen some wild gaslighting the past couple weeks, talking about the economy. There’s so much gaslighting!”

Then, in an effort to paint Biden as one of the greatest presidents in American history, Rogan used California Governor Gavin Newsom’s recent compliments on the state of the economy. “It’s like hot gas in your face. It’s burning your lungs,” Rogan said.
According to a Harvard/CAPS Harris poll conducted in January, 63% of registered voters think the economy is headed on the “wrong track,” up 4% from the previous month. Furthermore, 58% of respondents said that the economy’s overall strength was “weak.”
