MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell refuted rumors that he would run for the position if RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel decided to step down, despite contradictory reports still circulating about her tenure.
Lindell said to host Steve Bannon on War Room earlier this week that he would think about applying for the job if it opened up. If the president asked, would you offer to take over the Republican National Committee?Bannon enquired.

“100 percent I would. Then I would have all the tools I need to fix secure these elections and immediately we’ve already got everything in place. We just need resources and, and their blessing behind us. Absolutely,” Lindell replied. The MyPillow CEO previously ran for the position in 2023, ultimately receiving four votes.
That being said, Lindell clarified to Newsweek that he has no interest in running for RNC chair again.
“I am not running as I have to finish my efforts to get this country to paper ballots hand counted!” Lindell told the outlet. “The RNC should pick anyone that the election platforms are their main focus! Julianne Murray (chairwoman of Delaware) would be the best pick for the RNC chair.”
Following months of pressure, reports surfaced earlier this week that McDaniel would be stepping down. Critics have called for a change citing poor financial management, unimpressive election results, and difficulties with fundraising.
Regarding McDaniel’s term, former President Donald Trump also offered his opinion, telling Fox News that “changes” might be anticipated at the RNC following the forthcoming South Carolina primary.
