Donald Trump demanded an instant debate with President Joe Biden, who is expected to be his opponent in 2024, stating that it is “for the good of the country” as the former leader of the Senate appears certain to win the GOP nomination.
The former president repeated an offer to do a post-Super Bowl interview after the White House announced the president would miss it for the second year in a row, saying in an interview with Dan Bongino for his radio show that he did not believe Biden would stay in the race but still called on him to debate “immediately.”

“And I don’t think he’s going to run. I don’t know if it’s donors or otherwise. It might be his family. It might be something,” Trump said. “I don’t think he’s gonna run, but I’d like to call for, immediately, debates. I’d like to debate him now because we should debate. We should debate for the good of the country. So I will officially go on your show call.”
“Oh, wow! Look at that! We’re breaking news: Mr. President Donald J. Trump calls for debates against Joe Biden. I mean, that’s great. We’re breaking some news here!” Bongino said in response.
“I am officially doing that. I also put out, you probably noticed, that I’ll take his spot at the Super Bowl if they want. We’ll get very good ratings,” Trump added.
When asked whether he would debate Trump during his campaign stop in Nevada, Biden chuckled and declined to commit.
According to a report on Sunday, there is more to the story than what Democrats and left-wing activists claimed to be President Joe Biden’s “blow-out” victory during this week’s Democratic primary in South Carolina, the first in the country.
It’s true that Biden prevailed with about 96% of the vote, but less than 5% of voters in the state cast ballots, according to WMBF.
“In total, South Carolina saw 131,870 ballots cast for the 2024 primary out of just over 3.2 million registered voters – which accounts for just 4.09 percent,” the outlet noted. “Just three counties, Orangeburg, Lee, and Williamsburg, each saw turnout rates higher than 10%.”

That’s not exactly a resounding endorsement.
Democratic Party leaders pushed for South Carolina to be the first state in the primary schedule, which led to a decline in the state’s primary participation. But in the end, it was the second Democratic primary following New Hampshire. Even so, it was noteworthy because it was Joe Biden’s first time on the ballot following his victory as a write-in candidate in New Hampshire.
Concerns about Biden’s deteriorating mental state are still present, particularly in light of the White House’s announcement over the weekend that he will miss the pre-game Super Bowl interview for the second consecutive year—even though it’s an election year.
Politico reported: “Presidents have traditionally sought to leverage the marquee football event’s broad viewership, making Biden’s decision particularly notable in an election year.”
When Fox broadcast the Super Bowl last year, Biden declined to participate in interviews that he had previously done during NBC and CBS’s broadcasts of the game. This year, as Variety first reported, the White House confirmed that Biden would not be taking part in an interview, with CBS scheduled to broadcast the Super Bowl on February 11.
The game is what people tuned in to watch, so we hope they enjoy it,” White House spokesman Ben LaBolt said to Variety.
Former President Barack Obama started the Super Bowl pregame interview tradition. In 2018, however, after growing dissatisfied with the network’s coverage and players’ protests during the playing of the National Anthem, former President Donald Trump declined to participate in an interview with NBC.
Biden’s absence from two consecutive Super Bowl interviews will undoubtedly spark fresh rumors that the White House doubts his mental capacity.
