According to The Daily Caller, a California school district spent $250,000 on a “Woke Kindergarten” program, yet many of the pupils found it difficult to read, write, and calculate at grade level.
Under the Woke Kindergarten program, which is sponsored by a government commitment to improve underperforming schools, Glassbrook Elementary School in Hayward has given teachers two years of training sessions. According to the Chronicle, the curriculum, which is infamous for endorsing anti-Israel, anti-capitalist, and anti-police sentiments, has caused a fall in test results at the school.

Zeus Leonardo, an education professor at UC Berkeley, claims that Woke Kindergarten promotes abolitionist education.
Making “politics part of the framework of teaching,” is their main goal, Leonardo told the Chronicle.
According to the Chronicle, teachers have misgivings about the program because of its links to radical left-wing activity and politics.
According to the Chronicle, one teacher, Tiger Craven-Neeley, expressed his support for discussing racism in the classroom but expressed confusion about one of the training’s goals, which was to “disrupt whiteness” in the school. He also asked a trainer who referred to the United States as the “so-called United States.”
According to Craven-Neeley, who told the Chronicle that he was briefly barred from training sessions for challenging the notion of “disrupting whiteness,”
“What does that mean?” The Chronicle was told by Craven-Neeley. “I just want to know, what does that mean for a third-grade classroom?”
There must be no deviance from the program’s recommendations, according to an instructor who requested to remain nameless. “It slowly became very apparent if you were a dissenting voice that it’s not what they wanted to hear.”

District officials supported the program, according to the Chronicle, despite being questioned, noting lower suspension rates and more attendance. They falsely said, however, that the school was taken off the state watch list, even though it is still on the list and has deteriorated even worse.
The Hayward School District superintendent, Jason Reimann, told the Chronicle that the school board had authorized the hiring of “Woke Kindergarten” and that parents and teachers had also provided feedback.
