The temporary closing of a Boston community recreation center for migrant refuge by Governor Maura Healey has been met with tremendous opposition from the people of Massachusetts.
“They don’t care about us. They only care about their agenda and their political careers at our expense.” Former city council candidate Shawn Nelson stated on “Fox & Friends First” on Thursday.
According to reports, the Roxbury Melnea Cass Recreation Center had an exercise area and ice rink, giving the young people of the neighborhood a secure environment in which to interact. Parents worry that without it, their children would end up in trouble instead.
Enraged by the ongoing situation, Nelson recorded a video of himself approaching Healey in Boston on Wednesday. He asked her why she thought it was okay to steal resources away from Massachusetts residents while advocating for the deportation of migrants.
“You serve us, not these illegals,” he said.
Lifelong community member Catherine Vitale argues that the migration wave is unjust to the locals.
