On January 5, 2021, more than three years ago, someone is said to have put pipe bombs near the Republican National Committee (RNC) and Democratic National Committee (DNC) buildings in Washington, DC. This happened the night before the demonstrations on January 6, 2021, which raised questions about possible dangers related to what happened that day.
Following the discovery of explosive devices adjacent to the Republican and Democratic Party headquarters, the U.S. Capitol was briefly shuttered on January 6. In response to growing worries, the federal authorities moved quickly, initiating the precautionary shutdown to guarantee the safety and security of the Capitol complex.

As previously reported, two pipe bombs were deftly placed at the Republican National Committee (RNC) and Democratic National Committee (DNC) buildings in Washington, DC, by an anonymous individual. On January 6, a bomb squad successfully eliminated these potentially harmful devices, highlighting the haste and accuracy needed to deal with such security risks.

The FBI released further video of the person who planted two pipe bombs near the DNC and RNC headquarters on the eve of the Capitol riot in the months after the rioting. This continual sharing of evidence shows the agency’s dedication to the investigation and its search for the suspect.
In 2022, a brave whistleblower revealed that the FBI had withheld critical investigative material. This admission sparked questions about openness and accountability in the investigation process, reiterating the need of open communication and public faith in justice.
A $500,000 reward was offered by the FBI in 2023 for information on the suspected bomber, which led to conjecture over the need to question those who were on duty that evening.
The perpetrator escaped the FBI, which is recognized as one of the top spy organizations in the world, even though they were caught on camera.
The cause is now obvious.
FBI whistleblower Kyle Seraphin disclosed in May 2023 that program technicians had told him the gadgets weren’t working.

Reps. Bill Posey (R-FL), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), and Jim Jordan (R-OH) wrote to the FBI in May 2023 asking for an update on the J6 pipe bomber investigation.
Rep. Jordan’s letter highlights an important discovery: the FBI might be able to provide information about the license plate number of the suspect’s car.
“As part of our oversight investigation into the pipe bombs placed near the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee on January 5, 2021. At the start of the 118th Congress on January 17, 2023, we reiterated this request. To date, you have failed to comply,” reads the letter.
A senior FBI official’s whistleblower disclosure prompted the committee to focus on the probe and sparked questions about the “unusual” elements of the agency’s investigative methodology.
Despite more than a year having passed after the explosives were set, the FBI’s Washington Field Office has instructed other field offices to ask private human sources throughout the country for information on the suspect, according to the whistleblower statement.
Information from sources covering various threats was expressly requested in the request, given the suspect’s “motive and ideology remained unknown.”
With the use of security camera footage from the Metro station in Northern Virginia, the FBI was able to identify the license plate of a car that was connected to the suspect. The FBI has not yet been able to identify the culprit despite these clues.
As one former associate director of the FBI said, “[it just doesn’t add up … [t]here’s just too much to work with to not know who this guy is.”
According to recent accounts, the bomb planter appears to be a former government employee. It has been stated that the FBI has declined to speak with this individual, which raises concerns about their method of investigation.
According to The Daily Wire:
A former FBI agent claims that the Bureau quickly linked the person responsible for planting pipe bombs at the Democratic and Republican National Committees to a certain Metro fare card and license plate. The agent said that his team was transferred from following up on this lead and that he was not allowed to speak with the person of interest.
The claim begs more concerns concerning the pipe bombs, which were by far the most violent part of the protests on January 6 but have mostly gone unmentioned by Democrats and authorities ever since.
FBI surveillance team leader Kyle Seraphin told The Daily Wire that soon after January 6, he was met at a Falls Church, Virginia firehouse by a counterintelligence team who briefed him on his next surveillance target: they had tracked the person using security footage into a Metro station after they planted the bombs and identified the fare card that was used.
They were then able to ascertain from that fare card that the individual got off at a Metro stop in Northern Virginia, where they were seen getting into a car on surveillance. The retired Air Force chief master sergeant, who was now employed as a contractor with a security clearance, was named on both the ticket card and the automobile, according to them.
Seraphin said that after being tasked with watching the person’s row home for days with his squad, the FBI refused to grant his request to speak with the subject. Then, he claimed, they were directed to go through low-priority leads on minor January 6 participants and were fully removed from the goal.
