Alejandro Mayorkas, the secretary of DHS, is impeached by House Republicans after they act decisively to address the border situation.
Republicans reportedly unveiled two charges of impeachment, the first of which accused Mayorkas of “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law,” whereas the second piece claims that he betrayed the public’s confidence by having “knowingly made false statements, and knowingly obstructed lawful oversight of the Department of Homeland Security.”

“These articles lay out a clear, compelling, and irrefutable case for Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ impeachment,” stated Mark Green, the Republican chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, in a statement.
“The results of his lawless behavior have been disastrous for our country,” Green, the author of the articles of impeachment, added.
In response, DHS released a document on Sunday asserting that Republicans “undermined efforts to achieve bipartisan solutions and ignored the facts, legal scholars and experts, and even the Constitution itself in their quest to baselessly impeach Secretary Mayorkas.”
NBC News reported:
The articles of impeachment will be discussed by Green’s committee on Tuesday. A House floor vote on the impeachment campaign would be one step closer with approval. R-La. Speaker Mike Johnson wrote a letter to colleagues on Friday stating that “a vote on the floor will be held as soon as possible thereafter,” but left out a specific day.
The head of homeland security is under fire for allowing foreign nationals to remain in the country.
Mayorkas has been charged by the Republican-led Homeland Security Committee for favoring parole programs for illegal family reunion above holding those who entered the country unlawfully.
On Sunday, the government asserted that DHS had complied with the Immigration and Nationality Act “to the mandatory detention requirements of the INA to the maximum extent possible” but that a “standard requiring 100% detention would mean that Congress should have impeached every DHS Secretary since the Department was founded.”
Mayorkas is accused of obstructing scrutiny while lying to Congress about border security.
ALERT! Major Water Restrictions In Effect!
“Congress has a duty to see that the executive branch implements and enforces the laws we have passed. Yet Secretary Mayorkas has repeatedly refused to do so,” Green said on Sunday. “His lawless behavior was exactly what the Framers gave us the impeachment power to remedy. It is time we take this affront to a coequal branch of government, to the Constitution, and to the American people seriously.”
During a recent hearing on the potential for Mayorkas’ impeachment, a heartbroken mother whose daughter overdosed on fentanyl was addressed by a Democrat who made an astonishing remark.
Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) allegedly told Josephine Dunn, whose daughter Ashley, 26, died from fentanyl-laced tablets, that Republicans were “used” her, according to Fox News.
Republicans had extended an invitation to Dunn to attend the meeting and share her story of losing her daughter to fentanyl.
The Democrat then said he wanted to offer Dunn his “sincere condolences” for the loss of her daughter. “apologize in some ways” to her because she was “being used as a fact witness for an impeachment investigation.”
Then he said: “Obviously, given what your experience has been, you don’t have the background to understand what a high crime and misdemeanor is and how it relates to this.”
Dunn became enraged by his remarks and told the Daily Caller on Friday that Goldman is “unaware about what my understanding, about what my education, what my experience is in any of those areas when it comes to misdemeanors or high crimes.”
“I have my opinions, and for him to assume that I want to just put more money into a system that has had plenty of money placed into it and is still broken is incorrect. Please don’t think for me. I have a brain. I can think and speak for myself,” She informed the outlet.

Typical Democrat response..accusing Republicans of doing what the Dems ARE doing.
