Oklahoma’s Unrest Republicans explode into fury as Senator James Lankford’s contentious border security agreement with Democrats is denounced by party leaders.
The resolution, enacted with immediate effect, declares that until Senator Lankford stops working on the proposed legislation, the party will not support him in any way.

According to rumors, this purported agreement will allow an astounding 5,000 undocumented immigrants to enter the country every day, for a monthly total of around 155,000 people and a startling yearly total of 1.8 million. Information that FOX News reporter Bill Melugin was able to gather states that the agreement consists of:
– All unmarried adults must be detained mandatory.
— Mandatory “shut down” of border at reaching 5,000 average daily interactions with migrants. Notably, 1,400 CBP is included in this 5,000 figure. There are around 3,600 unauthorized crossings and one app entrance at ports of entry per day.
How is that implemented? When the 5,000 mark is reached, the Border Patrol is mandated by law to detain and quickly remove any illegal aliens they apprehend without processing. They would be deported right away and would not have the opportunity to apply for asylum. Deportations to native nations and removals back to Mexico are included in this. This would represent a significant departure from the existing rule, which mandates that an undocumented immigrant must be processed through Title 8 in order to be granted asylum as soon as they enter US territory. They are not handled under this new jurisdiction, and if the “shut down” threshold is reached, they must be deleted immediately.
This “shut down” also applies when 8,500 interactions with migrants occur in a single day.
— The following day, the “shut down” persisted. It wouldn’t go away unless daily interactions drop to less than 75% of the 5,000 mark for a minimum of two weeks. Thus, after two weeks of less than 3,750 migrant interactions on average each day, the “shut down” authority would not be lifted.
ATD (Alternatives to Detention) will be used to release some family units (ankle monitors, etc).
— New removal authority to deport all immigrants without viable asylum claims, which will be decided in six months instead of the current years-long procedure.
— A one-year ban from entering the US would be imposed on any immigrant found to have attempted to cross twice during the “shut down” period.
For Mexico to accept back illegal immigrants who are not Mexican, the US and Mexico must reach an agreement. This still has to be worked out.

The OK GOP is adamantly against creating a “path to citizenship” that would give illegal immigrants preference over those who have followed legal immigration procedures, and they are in favor of “limited legal immigration.”
Senator Lankford is accused of undermining the rule of law and endangering the safety of American citizens. A resolution draws attention to his involvement in an agreement that might pave the way for a border invasion, in violation of the U.S. Constitution’s duty to defend the states against such dangers.
Senator Dusty Deevers of Oklahoma state sent the resolution that may be read below:
Together with Democratic Senator Charles Schumer, Senator James Lankford developed a plan that would allow up to 5,000 illegal immigrants to enter the country each day and find work.
WHEREAS, according to the OKGOP Platform: “We support limited legal immigration and embrace legal immigrants who choose to assimilate to our American culture, language and values.”
Furthermore stated by the OKGOP Platform is WHEREAS: “We oppose a ‘path to citizenship’ that would grant citizenship to illegal aliens faster than to immigrants who have come to the United States through legal means.”
WHEREAS, Senator Lankford’s fast-talking tactics with Democrats about our border policy jeopardize American security and safety while simultaneously depriving lawful immigrants of their right to citizenship.
WHEREAS, Senator Lankford has sworn to uphold and defend Article IV, Section 4 of the US Constitution, which states: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion…”
WHEREAS, it is outside of Senator Lankford’s allowed negotiation region and goes against his oath to the Constitution to permit thousands of individuals to breach our borders before any action is taken.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Oklahoma GOP calls on Senator James Lankford to stop endangering the safety and freedom of the people of Oklahoma and the United States, and severely condemns him if and to the extent that he persists with these acts.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Oklahoma Republican Party shall not abstain from these acts unless Senator Lankford
Party will stop endorsing him.
RESOLVED that the OKGOP Chairman will post this resolution online in PDF format, release a press release detailing the resolutions the State Committee passed and link to the resolution from the press release on the website, distribute the press release and resolution link to every member on the OKGOP distribution list, and post on OKGOP social media.
Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) vehemently opposed the Senate Amnesty Bill earlier this month, calling it a “nightmare” on social media.
A harsh criticism of the measure is that it offers legal status to undocumented immigrants who have violated the law and abused the system.
“The Senate Amnesty Bill is a nightmare. It gives legal status to illegal aliens who have gamed our system and broken our laws. It rolls out the red carpet for 5,000 illegals EVERY DAY, forever. It’s hard enough to stop the far-left’s state-sponsored invasion of our Southern Border, and it’s even harder when you’re pulling Senator Langford’s daggers out of your back. I oppose the Senate Amnesty Deal and will work to see its defeat,” Gaetz wrote.
On social media, Representative Dan Bishop (R-NC) voiced his shock and worry.
“How could this even be imagined?! 5,000 a day is 150,000/mo. The unprecedented threshold breached in January 2021 after the post-election ramp-up. Lankford proposes to institutionalize the crisis-level flow? As a “border security” proposal?”
