Judge’s Breakthrough Decision – Hearing Set for Fani Willis!

Georgia Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee has set a hearing for February 15. Investigating claims made against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her lead prosecutor is the goal of the hearing.

Mike Roman, a former campaign adviser, has charged former President Donald Trump of having an inappropriate relationship and abusing taxpayer money. Trump and Roman are co-defendants in the lawsuit involving electoral meddling. Roman has been directed by the judge to provide a written answer by February 2.

The accusations were first made by Roman in a court filing and then published by The Washington Post.

Willis hasn’t publicly responded to the accusations as of yet. But in compliance with Judge McAfee’s directive, she must answer in a livestreamed court proceeding. This can cause humiliation or even have an impact on the inquiry. Roman is requesting in a court filing that Willis and lead prosecutor Nathan Wade be taken out of the case. The motion also asks for the charges to be dropped.

According to a recent document, Willis sought legal assistance from a private attorney with whom she had a “romantic” relationship in order to press accusations against Trump. Roman, a former Trump campaign employee and co-defendant in a lawsuit regarding the “fake electors” scam, made these charges. Roman’s allegations are a part of a broader indictment that names eighteen Trump associates.

Willis was close to private attorney Nathan Wade, who was paid over $600,000 as a special prosecutor to support her office’s exhaustive probe into Trump’s efforts to change the results of the 2020 election, according to a public court record. The document asks for the dismissal of the accusations made against him.

As stated in the document, “sources close to both the special prosecutor and the district attorney have confirmed they had an ongoing, personal relationship.”

“So obviously my plan with this was to allow the state an opportunity to respond before setting a hearing date,” On Friday, Judge McAfee stated. “Early February would be the soonest that would happen.”

Prior to this, a district attorney’s office spokeswoman stated that the charges will be addressed “through appropriate court filings.”

Trump’s attorney, Steve Sadow, stated that the president’s legal team was thinking about endorsing the move over the allegations he described as “salacious and scandalous.” They acknowledged that there is currently little evidence to support their assertions, but they nevertheless aimed to have a “better understanding or substantiation” of them first.

Sadow explained, “I don’t have a factual background that I can state to the court that supports that at this point. I’m leery of moving to adopt motions that make such allegations without having a better understanding or substantiation of the allegations.”

A court record from another litigation states that Willis is facing a subpoena related to Wade’s divorce dispute. The subpoena was sent to Willis’ executive assistant by Joycelyn Wade, Wade’s spouse. A spokeswoman for Willis indicated that they will be answering to the subpoena shortly, despite their refusal to comment.

Roman’s lawyer, Ashleigh Merchant, said that a connection between Willis and Wade came about. “in the special prosecutor, and, in turn, the district attorney, profiting significantly from this prosecution at the expense of the taxpayers.” She asked the judge to order the unsealing of the sealed divorce case records, claiming they would support Roman’s allegations.

In an interview, Merchant claimed to have carefully read over the Fulton County Board of Commissioners meeting minutes. The appointment of special prosecutors must be approved by this body. Merchant said that she could not find any records of DA Willis asking for Wade to be hired.

In the lawsuit, Trump has insisted on his innocence.
