James Carville, a former counselor to Bill Clinton, has provided some of the most frank evaluations of Joe Biden’s chances of winning reelection of any prominent Democrat.
For months, Carville has been warning that Biden will fail if he continues on his present political path.
In an interview with CNN’s Kasie Hunt, the former Clinton aide foresaw the President’s impending demise.
“It sounds to me like you think if the election were held today, Biden would lose,” Hunt said.
“Me and everybody else,” Carville replied.
In a POLITICO interview, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) took aim at Carville for his pessimism.

The source questioned him about the Biden team’s perceived lack of effort in establishing a campaign infrastructure in Pennsylvania, a critical swing state.
“All I do know is that the President will win Pennsylvania. And I do believe if he wins Pennsylvania, and I believe he will, he will be a second-term President,” Fetterman said.
Fetterman responded to a question from POLITICO about Biden’s waning popularity with an enraged and profanity-filled diatribe.
“We’ve talked about this a few months ago, and you told me then you thought Biden would win Pennsylvania and win the overall election. But things have gotten worse for him since. Trump is now ahead in many polls,” Holly Otterbein of POLITICO stated.
“There’s a whole lifetime in politics between now and next November as well. I’m not worried about that. And I’m very vocal about this, too, while there are Democrats that are being very critical about the President,” Fetterman ranted. “I’ll use this [as] another opportunity to tell James Carville to shut the f*** up. Like I said, my man hasn’t been relevant since grunge was a thing. And I don’t know why he believes it’s helpful to say these kinds of things about an incredibly difficult circumstance with an incredibly strong and decent and excellent President. I’ll never understand that.”
Fetterman couldn’t take the truth about Biden and had an ugly breakdown.
According to the state’s RealClearPolitics polling average, Trump has taken a little lead in his home state of Pennsylvania, inside the margin of error.
Following the interview, Carville responded with a shot at Fetterman.
He stated to POLITICO that Fetterman’s fellow Democratic senators “apparently haven’t gotten the memo yet” that he is no longer relevant.
Carville mentioned that he was asked to run for office by two Democratic senators, one of which being Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA), the other senator from Pennsylvania.
“I’m glad he’s feeling better,” Carville quipped.
