Newsom Shattered: DeSantis’ Top 5 Debate Smackdowns!

In a heated debate on Fox News, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis easily defeats California Governor Gavin Newsom, demonstrating his formidable Republican leadership and positioning himself as a possible presidential contender.

There is more going on here than just a debate between the governors of two large states in the United States. It symbolizes a bitter conflict between two opposing ideas for a nation riven by extreme debt, severe divisions, and a weakened sense of sovereignty. President Joe Biden’s decision to open the southern border made this situation worse and heightened the already tense atmosphere.

Throughout the discussion, Newsom never wavered in his support of the Biden administration, standing in line with its alarming foreign, social, and economic policies.

He was a skilled debater and at first looked like he had a good chance. But his strategies of lying, dodging questions, and twisting the facts soon grew old and brought forth obvious signs of exasperation.

DeSantis skillfully used factual evidence to bolster his claims. Sean Hannity, the moderator, led a comparison between Florida and California using data from Democratic-affiliated sources that are widely believed.

Newsom was up against the numbers.

Politico claims that his wife’s pressure led to the Democratic governor’s resignation.

“A DeSantis aide said California first partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom was the one who stepped in and ended the debate on her husband’s behalf after Hannity invited the two governors to go deeper into overtime. A second person on the ground confirmed that.”

Democrats may have to look farther than Sacramento or the notorious French Laundry if they want to unseat the unpopular Biden before the 2024 election, but DeSantis emerges as a resurgent contender.

Anyway, DeSantis emerged victorious. These are his top five most vicious defeats:

DeSantis repeatedly brought up the sizeable number of people who have relocated from California to Florida during the debate.

He admitted during the conversation that Newsom’s in-laws were among the refugees.

“I was talking to a fella who had made the move from California to Florida, and he was telling me that Florida is much better governed, safer, better budget, lower taxes, all this stuff, and he’s really happy with the quality of life,” DeSantis said.

“And then he paused, and he said, ‘And oh, by the way, I’m Gavin Newsom’s father-in-law.’”

Newsom smiled in response to the remark.

Governor Gavin Newsom’s in-laws, Kenneth and Judith Siebel, moved to Florida in March 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic started, according to a Fox News report. They currently own a lavish $3.3 million estate in Naples.

A well-known San Francisco website has gained attention for its unusual feature, which lets users monitor and report any instances of human waste found on city streets in real time.

The “poop map” is an eye-opening depiction of the downfall of one of the once-beautiful American cities. The City by the Bay, made famous by Journey’s hit song “Lights,” has sadly turned into a place where homeless people can be seen relieving themselves in public ever since Democrats took over state government.

On Thursday, DeSantis casually removed a hard copy of the map from his jacket.

“That is what has happened in one of the previous greatest cities this country’s ever had. Human feces is now a fact of life, except when a communist dictator comes to town,” he made reference to Newsom’s impromptu tidying project prior to Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit.

During his time in the United States, DeSantis revealed. He was stationed at Coronado, in the stunning Southern California scenery, as a member of the Navy.

“I was always a resident of Florida, but when I visited California, I was truly in awe of its breathtaking beauty,” said DeSantis. “In my opinion, California possesses an abundance of natural advantages that surpass any other state in the country.”

“You almost have to try to mess California up, and yet that’s what Gavin Newsom has done since he’s been governor,” he continued. “He’s the first governor to ever lose population. They actually at one point ran out of U-Hauls in the state of California because so many people were leaving.”

For the first time in its history, California, a state renowned for its wealth of natural resources and pleasant climate, saw a considerable drop in population during the 2020 census. Thus, the state has also forfeited one of its 53 U.S. seats in the House during the redistribution process.

Democrats have falsely claimed that conservatives are “banning books” in recent times, based on baseless accusations. It is imperative to make it clear that Republicans are not holding book burning rallies in the style of those that were observed in the early years of Nazi Germany.

Newsom made up the claim that there is a book ban in Florida and other places during Thursday’s debate. It’s crucial to make clear that there isn’t a ban of this kind.

DeSantis brought a page from the book “Gender Queer,” which is available in California but is banned in Florida schools, so she was ready for the topic that was about to happen.

“Some of it’s blacked out. You would not probably be able to put this on air. This is pornography. It’s cartoons, it’s aimed at children, and it’s wrong. So this should not be in schools,” he said.

When Hannity questioned Newsom about why he thought books with explicit sexual content were appropriate for young readers, the Democrat consistently sidestepped the question.

The way DeSantis and Newsom have handled the COVID pandemic since taking office in 2019 is a stark illustration of their divergent leadership philosophies.

Although the majority of Florida students went back to school by the summer of 2020, Governor Newsom and the state’s Democratic delegation fought hard to keep students at home in California. As a result, this choice has had negative consequences, causing many California students to fall well behind in their academic progress.

“As a governor, you were in lockdown. DeSantis said to Newsom, “You caused a great deal of harm to your people.” In California, more children were suspended from school for extended periods of time than in any other state in the union.

“It was the working-class kids, it was the middle-income kids. His kids were in private school. They were in class in person.”

DeSantis concluded, “He locked people out because of the teachers union. He is owned by the teachers union.”

Newsom quickly turned his attention from the problem of closing schools.

Were you aware that in 2021, California had an average of 115 days without school? Sadly, the extended closure has negatively affected the reading and math competency levels of elementary school pupils.

It was a difficult night for Newsom on Thursday when he faced down his political rival, Ron DeSantis, following their widely reported spat.

It doesn’t matter if DeSantis can compete with Donald Trump in the next GOP primary because 2024 wasn’t the main topic of discussion here.

A fascinating discussion broke out between two groups fighting for control of the nation’s destiny. The main points of contention in this heated debate were ethics, decency, and government.

While Newsom voluntarily defended the indefensible—Biden’s ineffectual agenda and the current chaotic state of California—DeSantis offered verifiable evidence to back up his claims.
