Though we may have predicted it, we can now say with certainty that the coronavirus outbreak altered the appearance of the 2020 election beyond anything seen in recent memory. A startling amount of voters in the United States cast votes ahead of Election Day as a result of the widespread adoption of postal voting. If someone had looked at the same statistics for 2016, they would have been startled by the extent of this gap. Out of these 15 states, 114 additionally provided the 2016 presidential election results broken down by voting technique.
