After multiple indictments were handed down to former President Donald Trump, his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, expressed her thoughts on the matter with fervor and passion.
While participating in a recent interview on Fox News, Lara, the spouse of Eric Trump, expressed her viewpoint regarding the accusations faced by the former president. She firmly stated that despite being charged with four felony counts, which were associated with purportedly fraudulent attempts to overturn his defeat to Joe Biden, he firmly believed in his innocence. According to Lara, he behaved just like any other president would when presented with concerning reports of “nefarious” activities.

During her tenure as a senior adviser to her father-in-law’s 2020 campaign, Lara asserted to Watters that on a regular basis, numerous reports flooded in from all corners of the nation, shedding light on dubious and malicious activities witnessed at various polling sites. These reports came in the form of affidavits and were received several times a day, keeping her and her colleagues well-informed about the questionable incidents.
“So we had a lot of questions about what happened in the 2020 election. Quite frankly, I don’t think we’ve ever had an election in the United States history that we’ve come out of having more questions than we did post-2020,” she continued.
“Obviously, one of those people as well as a sitting president of the United States, my father-in-law Donald Trump, who did exactly what you would want a president to do,” she said. “He upheld and defended the Constitution of the United States by trying to ensure that we indeed had a free and fair election. That was his whole goal. That’s what he wanted to ensure was going on.”
