However, it is alleged that Yetman picked up a sizable pepper spray canister from the ground and threw it at demonstrators and Capitol police. This crime, reminiscent of incidents at regular Antifa protests, led the FBI to launch a comprehensive hunt for Yetman.

After nearly three years since the January 6 protest, Gregory Yetman finally came forward on Friday morning when he turned himself in to the authorities.

The ABC News stated:

Gregory Yetman, the subject of a protracted manhunt in New Jersey, has reportedly turned himself in to police officers without incident, according to the FBI.

According to authorities, Yetman turned himself in voluntarily to the Monroe Township police on Friday morning.

The 47-year-old John Yetman is presently being prosecuted on a number of counts, including several felonies, in connection with the attack on the United States. January 6 at the Capitol. These offenses include assaulting law enforcement officials, obstructing them during a civil disturbance, and breaking and entering into a restricted area or building without authorization. Moreover, Yetman is charged with committing an act of physical violence on Capitol property or in restricted areas, as well as with using physical force inside those locations.

On Monday, he is expected to make his initial court appearance in Newark, New Jersey.
