According to Newsmax, President Trump declined the offer due to concerns about possible conflicts of interest with the Biden administration’s activities in Ukraine.

During an NBC interview, anchor Kristen Welker questioned Zelenskyy, “Former President Trump, who is the GOP frontrunner, has said that if he is re-elected, he could end this war in 24 hours. What is your reaction and message to former President Trump about that?”
“I invite President Trump. If he can come here, I will need 24 minutes. Yes, 24 minutes, not more, not more. 24 minutes to explain [to] President Trump that he can’t manage this war. He can’t bring peace because of Putin,” Zelenskyy claimed.
Trump said he respected President Zelenskyy in a statement to Newsmax on Monday, but he also stated, “I think it would be inappropriate to go to Ukraine at this time. The Biden administration is currently dealing with him, and I would not want to create a conflict of interest.”
Important discussions on a possible peace deal in Ukraine and the procedures required to negotiate with Russia were held by U.S. and European officials, according to NBC News. According to a senior U.S. source and a former official, part of the negotiations included describing the compromises Ukraine could have to make for the agreement.
Representatives from more than 50 friendly countries, including NATO members, convened for delicate discussions last month. These talks took place at a time when Europe and the United States are losing political support for Ukraine.
The war seems to have reached a standstill where neither side is able to make any progress, which has raised concerns among authorities in the United States and Europe. As Russia has a “seemingly endless supply,” Biden Administration officials are concerned that Ukraine is running out of labor.
Because of the unending conscription obligations, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine is losing favor from the population and dealing with an increase in demonstrations.
