The well-known conservative talk radio broadcaster from California, Larry Elder, has formally announced his withdrawal from the GOP presidential contest in 2024. He has graciously chosen not to seek the party’s nomination. He did, however, make a notable declaration when he fully endorsed former President Donald J. Trump, the Republican Party’s front-runner for the 2024 elections.
Elder stated in a late-period Thursday post on X, “Honored to have just met with @realDonaldTrump to lend him my endorsement for President. I am grateful for the support I received from so many of you across the country.”
Elder, seventy-one, has been a fixture on Los Angeles radio for a number of years. He attempted, but was unable, to run against Newsom in the previous year’s recall election. Elder made the decision to run for president in April after receiving more attention from his gubernatorial campaign. He had trouble raising money, though, and was turned down for the first two RNC primary debates.
As Trending Politics has previously documented, the RNC “required candidates to hit at least 1% in three national polls or in a mix of national and early state polls recognized by the committee and have accrued 40,000 individual donors to their campaigns from at least 200 unique donors per state in 20 or more states.”
Elder vigorously fought for debate rights through his ‘Let Larry Debate’ initiative, but sadly, his efforts were not successful.
According to Trump’s official announcement,
“Now that I am exiting the race, I am proud to announce my endorsement of Donald Trump for President of the United States. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing conservative, America-first principles and policies that have benefitted our great nation. We must unite behind Donald Trump to beat Joe Biden and fight back against Biden’s unprecedented election interference and the left’s destruction of America.”
Elder added, “Although I am suspending my campaign for president, my commitment to addressing the crisis of fatherlessness, promoting conservative ideals, and supporting the MAGA movement remains unwavering. I will continue to work tirelessly to advocate for the issues that matter most to the American people.”
Trump says nothing in response to Elder’s support.

Elder’s remarks on TruthSocial and X have received a lot of attention, and many people have expressed appreciation for his unique viewpoint on the race. They commend him for his commitment and decision to support Trump.
