Gaetz’s Side-Splitting Dig at Menendez – Democrats Stunned!

In his passionate statement on the House floor, Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) doesn’t hold back. Targeting politicians from both major parties, he does it with the wit and charisma of a stand-up comedian. Notably, Gaetz criticizes Senator Bob Menendez of New Jersey (D-NJ), who is accused of accepting bribes.

“We are devaluing American money so rapidly that in America today you can’t even bribe Democrat senators with cash alone. You need to bring gold bars to get the job done, just so that the bribes hold value,” Gaetz referred to a tiny mountain of gold and $480,000 in cash discovered jammed into hiding places within Menendez’s house during a recent search with a straight face. It is claimed that the senator from New Jersey and former chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee forced Egyptian authorities to do business with a company that made halal goods in exchange for huge payments, opulent automobiles, and other favors from Menendez.

Get the Republicans’ attention! Republican from Florida criticizes the House’s dependence on short-term solutions to fund the government. Support legislation that would halt this band-aid approach.

“The one thing I agree with my Democrat colleagues on is that for the last eight months, this House has been poorly led, and we own that and we have to do something about it,” Gaetz made a not-so-subtle allusion to his ongoing attempts to depose House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) from his position at the head of the Republican caucus.

“My Democrat colleagues will have an opportunity to do something about that too. And we will see if they bail out our failed Speaker,” he added.

There were questions about Senator Bob Menendez’s explanation for the substantial cash and gold stash that was found in his house on Monday. The senator claimed that his time living in Cuba taught him the value of being ready for any worst-case situation. He didn’t explain why his accomplices’ prints were discovered on the gold bars, though. Menendez has made it clear to his fellow Democrats that he has no intention of resigning, despite an increasing number of calls for him to do so.
