Ex-White House press secretary Jen Psaki sparks controversy by comparing unborn infants to little more than “lumps of coal.”
On an edition of “Inside with Jen Psaki” that aired on MSNBC on a Sunday afternoon, a former official from the Obama and Biden administrations discussed her views.
“Because they are seeking a re-brand, ‘pro-life’ now becomes, in the words of Indiana Sen. Todd Young, ‘pro-baby,’” she said. “Pro-baby, OK. I hate to break it to you, but if you call broccoli candy, it’s still just broccoli. If you tie a really nice bow around a lump of coal, it is still coal under there.”

Republicans have already begun shifting away from the mantra that “every life is precious” and reverting to Democratic talking lines like “safe, legal, and rare.”

According to NBC News, Republican Indiana Senator Todd Young described the conference as being focused on “pro-baby policies.”
Senators were questioned about possible alternatives to the word “pro-life.” Young made it clear that he coined the term “pro-baby” in order to emphasize how strongly he is dedicated to preserving the welfare of infants.
Social media users immediately criticize Psaki.
Later this month, Psaki’s program will transition to prime time, taking the place of “All In With Chris Hayes” in the 8:00 p.m. hour beginning on September 25.
