In some of the longest punishments ever imposed on J6 members, Proud Boys leaders were condemned to decades in jail last week. The presiding court allowed an upgraded terrorism charge in the instances, but he noted that “the terrorism adjustment overstates your role in the offense” because the leaders had no desire to murder or inflict a great number of victims. As a consequence, punishments were imposed in accordance with the prosecutors’ suggestions.
