Trump criticizes Georgia Governor Brian Kemp for opposing the removal of the Fulton County District Attorney.
Willis received harsh criticism from Trump, who charged her with escalating Atlanta’s crime statistics, including killings. According to his article on Truth Social, Atlanta now has the questionable distinction of having the “WORST IN NATION” crime rates.

Colton Moore, a state senator, is leading the impeachment effort and says there is enough support for a special session. The governor’s administration opposes this, claiming that no evidence of majority support has been shown.
Trump said in a vehement post: “Governor Kemp of Georgia is fighting hard against the Impeachment of the crooked, incompetent, & highly partisan D.A. of Fulton County, Fani Willis… Willis should focus on out of control Murder, not “I will get TRUMP” over a Perfect Phone Call. Georgia does not deserve this GIANT MURDER WAVE!”
Unexpected turn in the discussion around Willis’ probable impeachment campaign. Garrison Douglas, the governor’s spokesman, rejects Moore’s assertion that he has the backing of the majority.
Governor Brian Kemp disputes “any evidence” that State Senator Moore possesses the necessary majority to remove Willis from office. In a letter to the governor, Senator Moore asserts that he has “3/5 of each respective house” in support of calling a special session.
Garrison Douglas, a representative for Gov. Kemp, told Fox News Digital that there is no evidence to support this assertion.
“As a Georgia State Senator, I am officially calling for an emergency session to review the actions of Fani Willis,” On Thursday, Moore posted on X (Twitter). “America is under attack. I’m not going to sit back and watch as radical left prosecutors politically TARGET political opponents.”
The declaration said:
We, the undersigned, being duly elected members of the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia Senate, and comprising 3/5 of each respective house, pursuant to Article IV, Section II, Paragraph VII(b), hereby certify to you, in writing, with a copy to the Secretary of State, that in our opinion an emergency exists in the affairs of the state, requiring a special session to be convened under that section, for all purposes, to include, without limitation, the review and response to the actions of Fani Willis.
Moore explained to Fox News Digital that the letter’s reference to having a majority in both houses of the legislature was false.
“Tell Brian Kemp and his team to turn off CNN and open their eyes. I’ve done 25 TV, radio, and podcast interviews with one identical message: I need 3/5 of my colleagues to sign the letter,” Moore spoke with Fox News Online. “The people of Georgia are seeking action, not additional hollow words from superficial politicians.”

Moore highlighted his worry about the “politically-motivated weaponization” of the legal system and contends that such behavior should not be permitted at the expense of the tax payer. Additionally, it is demanded that funding for Willis’ office be cut off until her activities are made clear.
