The reason for the 911 distress call that was made the night of the accident is not revealed in the call log, according to a Daily Mail story.

On the night of the event, a 911 distress call was received by the Edgartown Police Department at 7:46 p.m. A 45-year-old man was reported to be in difficulty in the water and battling to remain afloat before drowning.
In an odd turn of events, the call record mysteriously lists “BLANK” as the cause for this specific call. This gap is significant because all other calls that night had explicit justifications.

The individual successfully swam back to shore after the botched rescue effort, notified someone, and that person immediately dialed 911.
The Daily Mail reports that as of 8:18 p.m., a lady had made the initial 911 call and was now maneuvering a boat in search of Campbell.
Wilson’s Landing, a well-liked paddle board launch location about two miles from the Obamas’ house on Turkeyland Cove, was listed as the call’s origin. The Massachusetts State Police records, which assert that the original call originated from the Obamas’ home, are in conflict with this information.

Campbell’s death is cloaked in mystery, and fresh information heightens the suspense.
