Charlie Kirk, the organization’s founder, gave a compelling address at Turning Point Action’s first convention in West Palm Beach, Florida, outlining five crucial steps that conservatives must do to retake the country in 2024.
Becoming a precinct committeeman, using alternative media, making sure elected Republicans are held responsible, pursuing continuous knowledge development, and realizing the spiritual fight in our country are some of the important things to do.

Become a precinct committeeman
“First of all, we at Turning Point Action specialize in getting you signed up for it. It’s you saying, ‘I’m going to be responsible for my 800 neighbors in my local area to go and vote. That’s it!” Kirk said. “Come election time, I’m signing up for the responsibility that I am going to take the task to make sure the Republicans come out to vote and the independents are persuaded.”
“Next year when we do this event, and I ask who’s a precinct committeeman, I want every single hand to go up,” Kirk said. “If we want to win in 2024, we need every hand regardless of age … It requires just energy and enthusiasm.”
Embrace alternative media
“Please embrace alternative media,” Kirk requested. “Stop watching the same old tired networks.”
Kirk stressed the value of expanding media consumption outside the mainstream elites in his hugely successful podcast, The Charlie Kirk Show. He exhorted the crowd to seek out truth-tellers like Steve Bannon, Megyn Kelly, and Dan Bongino. Watch for priceless perspectives and insights.
“Find independent media and consume it and support it,” Kirk told the crowd.
Hold elected Republicans accountable
“This is really important,” Kirk said. “Hold your elected Republican leaders accountable. It’s not enough just to win the election. You have to be a pesky mosquito in the ear of every RINO near you.”
“You need to be saying, ‘Why did you do that? Why are you sending cluster bombs to Ukraine? I’m going to primary you. Why are you doing this?” Kirk informed the group.

Kirk advised the audience to communicate with their political officials by emailing, calling, going to town hall meetings, and asking questions.
“If they represent you, go find them and say, ‘Why are you not representing our voters? For example, the Ukraine thing, 95 percent of you disagree with the involvement in Ukraine. Well, then maybe we should communicate that to our elected officials and say ‘If you continue this, we’re going to primary you. We’re going to remove you. Warmongers have no place in the Republican Party while we’re being invaded on the southern border,” Kirk explained. “Hold your Republican leaders accountable!”
Expand your knowledge
“Learn something new every single day,” Kirk said, explaining that “You cannot save something you do not know.”

In order to motivate individuals to work for the improvement of our nation, Kirk encourages the audience to read scripture and research our country’s history.
“It might be one of the most important action items,” Kirk said. “Take time every day to read the scriptures, to read old books, to learn about the nation that has been given to you, that you’re dedicating your life to save. The deeper we dive into the literature, into the thinkers, into the authors, the more convicted we will be to save this nation. Carve out time every day to learn about what we’re trying to save.”
Fight the spiritual battle
Kirk emphasizes that the contemporary American cultural battle is fundamentally a spiritual fight.
“You must understand that we are in the midst of a spiritual war,” Kirk said. “There is an invisible war around us and engage in the proven spiritual disciplines. Fast for your nation. Pray for your nation. Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. Honor your mother and father. Do not covet, follow the 10 commandments, spread the truth. Understand that the spiritual disciplines will allow us to get closer to victory in the invisible war all around us.”
“Now for some of you this might resonate, and some of you that might not resonate. If it doesn’t resonate for you, one day it will because it is the truth and the truth will set you free,” Kirk concluded.
