Rupert Murdoch, the respected creator of Fox News, lost faith in Donald Trump after the 2022 Midterm elections.
Murdoch, a seasoned establishment Republican who places a high priority on business, supported selecting a new face to lead the Republican Party in 2024. Murdoch thought it was time for a new leader to set the bar notwithstanding his support for amnesty, gun control, and initiatives to combat climate change.
That candidate resembled Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for a significant amount of time.
DeSantis briefly outpaced Trump in presidential polls before the end of 2022.
DeSantis’ formal announcement of his candidacy brought about an unexpected event, nevertheless.
Following the decision by Democrat prosecutors to prosecute him, in what seems to be a desperate effort to derail his presidential candidacy, Donald Trump’s poll ratings have significantly increased.

Recent surveys showed a rise in Trump’s popularity while a fall for DeSantis.
Beginning to express interest in a different candidate is Rupert Murdoch.
Murdoch allegedly wants Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin to enter the GOP primary contest at the last minute.
“The media mogul likes to watch political races play out, even live-tweeting reactions to one of the Republican presidential debates during the 2016 election. Mr. Murdoch has privately told people that he would still like to see Gov. Glenn Youngkin of Virginia enter the race, according to a person with knowledge of the remarks. And he has made clear in private discussions over the last two years that he thinks Mr. Trump, despite his popularity with Fox News viewers, is unhealthy for the Republican Party,” According to The New York Times.
Presently, DeSantis is being subtly questioned by Fox News hosts who have changed their tone and approach.
“What’s going on with your campaign?” Maria Bartiromo, the co-host of Sunday Morning Futures, enquired. “There was a lot of optimism about you running for President earlier in the year. What happened?!”
“I have to ask you, Governor, this: Why do you think, despite those successes, so far, it hasn’t been reflected in your polling for your 2024 run for President of the United States?” Will Cain, the host, pushed DeSantis.
Fox News’ and Rupert Murdoch’s declining interest in DeSantis can only be seen as a good thing for Trump, who constantly leads the polls.
The GOP establishment’s inability to support a single opponent on Fox News is impeding its efforts to defeat Trump.
