Today, Maria Bartiromo and the governor, Ron DeSantis, were guests on the Sunday Morning Futures program.
Maria bravely addressed the difficult subjects and questioned Governor DeSantis about his unproductive campaign. DeSantis has attempted to lessen President Trump’s large edge in the GOP presidential primary, but has been unsuccessful.

Governor DeSantis dismisses allegations of a stale campaign with assurance, attributing them to slanted media narratives intended to harm his candidacy.
“I’m wondering what’s going on with your campaign? There was a lot of optimism about you running for president earlier in the year, but here’s this weekend’s headline from the Politico playbook, “FAILURE TO LAUNCH — Florida Gov. RON DeSANTIS’ campaign to topple DONALD TRUMP has stalled.” We are way behind, says a top DeSantis PAC official, sounding the alarm. What happened?” Maria Bartiromo was queried.
DeSantis asserted with assurance that the media is aware of his capacity to defeat Vice President Biden and enact measures that they might not agree with. He emphasized the necessity of building up a solid base of support in the early primary states, pointing to the recent introduction of the “mama’s movement” project that he and his wife co-founded in Iowa. He is adamant that moms in particular and parents in general would be crucial in both the primary and general elections.
“Maria, these are narratives. The media does not want me to be the nominee. I think that’s very, very clear. Why? Because they know I’ll beat Biden. But even more importantly, they know I will actually deliver on all these things,” DeSantis said.
The former president Donald Trump maintains a clear lead with 56% support compared to DeSantis’s 22%, according to a recent survey that Bartiromo highlighted. DeSantis acknowledged Trump’s support but moved the conversation to how to combat justice system corruption. He pledged to stop the “weaponization” of government organizations and underlined the significance of immediately hiring a new FBI director.
“I think one of the reasons that Donald Trump is in the lead, because of the corruption and the unfairness of our justice system,” said DeSantis.
