RINO Alert: These Republicans Jump Onboard with Jack Smith

Rusty Bowers, a former speaker of the Arizona House, admits his involvement in the federal investigation into potential efforts to rig the 2020 election. Bowers, a well-known Republican, previously testified before the House Select Committee on January 6 and revealed a supposed plan to select illegal election officials that was allegedly developed by Donald Trump and his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani.

Bowers disclosed that his contacts with the FBI were related to the continuing investigation being conducted by special counsel Jack Smith in a recent interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins. Bowers acknowledged that he was hesitant to discuss any subpoenas, but he did affirm that the FBI had questioned him. This exchange took place a few months ago. Bowers also recognized that, despite the fact that he didn’t offer any fresh information, the investigators appeared to be familiar with his prior testimony.

“I offered them nothing new. They seemed to have a good grasp on all of the testimony that I had given,” Bowers said to CNN. “They were very aware of the January 6th committee testimony that I gave. There may have been something that I said that was of interest. But I don’t remember anything standing out that had not been mentioned before.”

The highest-ranking Republican official to cooperate with federal authorities in relation to his contacts with Trump and his inner circle after the election is Bowers, who had already received punishment from the Republican Party of Arizona.

Legal professionals contend that Bowers’ connection to the FBI points to an extensive inquiry involving people from various jurisdictions. Former high-ranking GOP officials, including Bowers and former Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, reportedly provided help to federal investigators, according to Christine Adams, a former federal prosecutor and current partner at Adams, Duerk & Kamenstein. This fact refutes assertions that the probe is motivated by politics.

Raffensperger’s popularity increased dramatically during the 2020 US Presidential election as a result of Georgia’s crucial participation and subsequent recounts.

Following the 2020 election, Raffensperger encountered conflict with Republican colleagues and former President Donald Trump on his claims of rampant voter fraud. Raffensperger, who oversaw the election process, continuously maintained the integrity of the vote in Georgia despite Trump’s allegations that he lost because of illegitimate votes.

Bowers made headlines in December 2020 when he disclosed an audacious demand from Trump and his team: to annul the election results. Bowers, a conservative Republican who backed Trump, was adamantly opposed to any plan that would circumvent the law to tamper with the results of a certified election.

In June 2022, Bowers testified before the January 6 committee and said he had spoken with Trump and Giuliani about the alleged conspiracy. Giuliani asserted to have proof of violations in the 2020 election, such as ballots cast by illegal immigrants and by deceased people.

According to Bowers’ perspective, the 2020 election investigation is extensive and thorough. The investigation covers Giuliani’s actions, the conduct of Trump’s attorneys, and other members of the Trump campaign.
