Breitbart reports that the conservative Federalist Society objected to a 2020 USA Today piece that sought to defend the president by stating that he made “$15.6 million… from speaking fees and book deals.” Specifically, between 2017 and 2019 “more than $10 million of that total income was profits from Biden’s memoir ‘Promise Me, Dad’ and $3 million in profits from Jill Biden’s book.” There were no information about the S-corporation could be found by following the citations in the USA Today story, producing what the Federal Society called a “smokescreen.”
