According to Tucker Carlson’s attorney, it would be a violation of his First Amendment rights for Fox News to sue him.

As per Axios:

According to a copy of a letter acquired by Axios, Fox News Wednesday informed Tucker Carlson’s attorneys that the former prime-time anchor had broken his agreement with the network when he started his own Twitter show on Tuesday.

Any legal action taken by Fox would be a breach of Carlson’s First Amendment rights, according to Carlson’s attorney.

“Fox defends its very existence on freedom of speech grounds. Now they want to take Tucker Carlson’s right to speak freely away from him because he took to social media to share his thoughts on current events,” Carlson’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, said in a statement to Axios.

After negotiating a deal with Dominion Voting Systems, Fox News fired Tucker in April.

Fox News was accused of contract irregularities and fraud by Tucker Carlson last month.
