During the town hall, Dana Bash asked Mike Pence a provocative question: If he were president, would he pardon the J6 prisoners? Find out what he says.
“Would you consider pardoning any of [the Jan. 6 prisoners]?” Bash asked.
“I have no interest or no intention of pardoning those that assaulted police officers, or vandalized our Capitol,” Pence replied.

Former Vice President Mike Pence responded when questioned about inquiries into the late President Donald Trump “no one is above the law” But charging a past president would “be terribly divisive to the country” and send a bad message to the rest of the globe.
“I don’t know the facts of the former president’s case… but what we’ve got to have in this country is equal treatment under the law,” Pence remarked during a town hall on CNN.
“I was very troubled last summer when for the first time in history, there was a search warrant executed at the home of a former president of the United States,” he said.
Pence expressed his hope that the inquiry will proceed “forward without the dramatic and drastic and divisive step of indicting a former president of the United States. We’ve got to find a way to move our country forward and restore confidence in equal treatment under the law in this country.”
Regarding Trump’s likely pardon despite conviction, Pence is silent.
