President Biden stated that the “MAGA Republicans” are “the real problem” in America at a recent DNC event. He made the case that they have turned into a barrier to advancement and must be addressed if we are to advance our nation.
“The real problem is those MAGA Republicans,” Biden addressed the Democrats present. “MAGA Republicans are trying to take us backwards. But together, we’re not going to let them do it. Not an inch back.”
President Biden caused a global uproar by referring to “extreme MAGA Republicans” as potential dangers to national security following the DOJ’s raid on his Mar-A-Lago home. He forewarned of this ultra-conservative group’s attempts to sabotage and split America in an unsettling address at Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
“As I stand here tonight, equality and democracy are under assault,” In September of last year, Biden spoke in front of a menacing crimson background. “We do ourselves no favor to pretend otherwise. So, tonight, I’ve come to this place where it all began, to speak as plainly as I can to the nation about the threats we face, about the power we have in our hands to meet these threats and about the incredible future that lies in front of us if only we choose it,” he continued.
“Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundation of our republic,” Biden went on to say. “They refuse to accept the results of a free election, and they’re working right now as I speak in state after state to give power to decide elections in America to partisans and cronies.”
Speaking at Friday’s DNC event, Biden praised the “Inflation Reduction Act” and the “American Rescue Plan,” as well as gun control and climate change legislation, in addition to repeating the “extreme MAGA Republicans” line of attack.
“I’m here tonight to ask your help to help me finish the job. And, folks, here’s the bottom line. It’s very simple: We need you. Our democracy needs you, because this is about our freedoms.” According to the New York Post, the president stated.
