In the middle of the political commotion, former President Trump singled out Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in a Truth Social post. Meridith McGraw, a POLITICO correspondent, posted a screenshot of the contentious post in which Trump speculated that as DeSantis gets older, wiser, and more well-known, he would have to deal with his own set of unfounded charges. The post continued to indicate that a lady or even young male classmates could start a major issue. In addition, a previous Hill report depicting DeSantis intoxicated at a party with minor females supports the claims made in the piece.

Trump has became more outspoken about his dislike of DeSantis, and it appears that the prospect of a close primary election has placed the former president on the defensive. MAGA Inc. even went so far as to accuse the Florida official of breaching the law by serving as “a de facto candidate for President of the United States” in a letter sent to the Florida Commission on Ethics on March 14.The letter asks officials to take into account impeaching DeSantis, removing him from office, barring his name from future ballots, and levying heavy fines because it claims DeSantis has been delaying his official declaration in order “to accept, as unethical gifts, illegal campaign contributions, and certain personal benefits” in ways that violate the state’s “resign to run law.”
According to the Daily Wire, DeSantis has handled the criticism well, asserting that he is already dealing with too many pressing issues to waste time “trying to defame other Republicans.”
