Tuesday night, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KYlinks )’s to China were completely ignored by the New York Times, according to Tucker Carlson of Fox News, who launched a stinging assault against them. One of America’s most renowned news organizations’ ethics and objectivity have come under scrutiny as a result of the uproar.
Readers are left to wonder whether there is an underlying alliance between established power and news media outlets after Carlson raised the possibility that the New York Times may be protecting establishment leaders like Sen. McConnell. “Everybody’s on the same team. I mean, you would think, like, the conventional way to see it is left versus right, Republican versus Democrat. Well, if that’s true, why is the New York Times doing, like, a nine-part series on how Mitch McConnell got so much money from China?”

The anchor of Fox News said that since McConnell is “on their side,” the mainstream media in general and the New York Times in particular “would never do that.”
