The introduction of Senate Bill 637, which would prohibit California from doing business with any banks whose clients manufacture weapons, was announced by state senator Dave Min (D-CA) on February 16. The senator said that as long as financial institutions continue to provide the gun business with funding, the “epidemic” would persist. The legislation, according to Min, would “force Wall Street” to decide between “doing business” with California or accepting “blood money” from the firearms industry.
