The audience in Scottsdale greeted Governor Katie Hobbs with a somewhat chilly reception when she attended The Waste Management Open.
When Governor Hobbs entered the golf course for the competition, she was met with booing from the spectators that echoed all around her.

Although winning the election, Hobbs is usually seen as having done so unjustly. This year’s Waste Management Open demonstrated how this problematic backdrop has led to a lack of respect. The competition offered a sample of how the general people views her leadership position with its raucous throng.
Controversy surrounded the 2022 midterm elections, from alleged voting fraud to candidates avoiding debates despite polls showing a strong advantage. As a result, legal action was launched. Less than two weeks before election day, incumbent governor Hobbs and her rival Kari Lake were at the center of this battle for the right to speak for themselves.
Others have speculated that Kari Lake, who “lost” the Arizona campaign, would be considered as former President Trump’s running partner in the 2024 election due to her recent popularity.
