As a result of recent disturbing threats made by a Russian government official and the deployment of naval equipment in close proximity to neighboring countries, tensions between Russia and Western nations have increased. Norwegian intelligence has detected suspicious activities, sparking worries that new hostilities are about to break out.
An official warning to the United States over its foreign policy was recently delivered by Andrey Gurulyov, a respected State Duma member and former military commander with the Kremlin-controlled Russia-1 network.

During a discussion that presenter Vladimir Solovyov mediated, Gurulyov said that Americans “won’t come to their senses” until they “get hit with a nuke on their skull.”
The bold and provocative posture taken by the Russian ultra-nationalist, who said that a nuclear assault was the only way to achieve enduring peace, provoked intense discussion.
“There is no other way to talk to these fools,” Gurulyov said.
“Today, considering our strategic initiative—and right now we have it for sure—along with our current successes, I very much want for us to envision the future,” Gurulyov added. “We should make plans beyond the horizon so that we know what happens in one year, three years, five years and 10 years and harshly move toward it in this paradigm.”
“We will win, 100 percent. Where? Everywhere! Everywhere! And this is by far not about Ukraine. Everywhere!” he ranted.
The Russian politician was observed adopting the same talking points on networks under Kremlin control, demonstrating how firm their hold is.
Russia has questioned Ukraine’s sovereignty in response to Gurulyov’s recent claim that Ukraine is “Russian territory.” The Julia Davis-curated and -managed Russian Media Monitor noted this worrying trend.
Gurulyov made the audacious claim that Russia has served as a global symbol of peace.
“Russia was, is and will be a great nation, capable of bringing peace,” he said. “Peace is the key word! We bring peace and calm!”
Gurulyov’s aggressive language has been described as a worrying pattern of carelessness, progressing to nuclear war threats against the United States.
Gurulyov ominously underlined the devastating capabilities of Putin’s military during a September televised interview by warning that nuclear attacks may turn Britain into an unusable “Martian desert.”
It was suggested during a Duma hearing that Russia wouldn’t be against the concept of dropping nuclear weapons on Germany or the United Kingdom if the case called for an immediate action. These ideas were opposed to NATO’s Article 5 accord, which was completely disregarded.
“Biden says there would be a reaction, per their Article 5, but if we turn the British Isles into a Martian desert in three minutes flat, using tactical nuclear weapons, not strategic ones, they could use Article 5, but for whom?” Gurulyov said. “A nonexistent country, turned into a Martian desert? They won’t respond.”
A Russian Duma member has issued a strong warning, adding to the stress of Putin’s mobilizing nuclear-armed military in the Baltic Sea based on information from Norway.
In a remarkable turn of events, Russia recently sent its fleet into the Baltic Sea to defend against the sabotage of two significant Nord Stream pipelines. The president of the United States, Joe Biden, has been accused of authorizing the operation, according to allegations made by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh.
