The connection between President Trump and Twitter is still up in the air since he hasn’t decided whether the social media site will continue to be a component of his public persona.
President Trump promptly joined in on the debate after learning about businessman Elon Musk’s poll on Twitter asking whether he should be reinstated, denying any possibility of a comeback. He said categorically, “I don’t see any reason for it.”
An unidentified GOP source close to the President said on Wednesday that the President’s expected return to Twitter is imminent.
“Trump is probably coming back to Twitter. It’s just a question of how and when,” the source said.
“He’s been talking about it for weeks, but Trump speaks for Trump, so it’s anyone’s guess what he’ll do or say or when.”
According to a second unnamed person who spoke to the publication, Trump and his aides have been debating a return to Twitter for weeks and have even “workshopped ideas for his first tweet,” NBC reported.

According to NBC news, the former President’s 2024 campaign staff is acting to reinstate their leader’s profile on Facebook. In the face of opposition, this petition serves as a reminder of political fortitude.
“We believe that the ban on President Trump’s account on Facebook has dramatically distorted and inhibited the public discourse,” The campaign sent a letter to Facebook’s parent company Meta on Tuesday. NBC claimed to have read the letter.
Democrats are contesting President Trump’s reinstatement to Facebook after a suspension for breaking the social media platform’s rules against inciting violence.
Rep. Adam Schiff and several other Democrats cautioned against the possible repercussions of restoring President Trump on Facebook in a highly written letter to Meta; they said that doing so would be a blatant breach of the platform’s regulations and would also harm its users.
“Following the 2022 midterm elections, we write to urge Meta to maintain its commitment to keeping dangerous and unfounded election denial content off its platform,” Schiff wrote.
“To that end, we also urge Meta and its leadership to continue the suspension of former president Donald Trump’s Facebook account beyond January, and to carefully monitor and counter the spread of harmful election misinformation, including the Big Lie about the 2020 presidential election, on Facebook.”
