Elon Musk demonstrated his mastery of facts on Monday by comprehensively refuting a claim made by California congressman Ted Lieu, prompting the congressman to remove his own tweet in response.

Following the Twitter File’s Monday morning disclosure that Twitter had suppressed material on COVID-19 that did not support their goal, Congressman Lieu reacted right away.
“Dear @davidzweig: The tweet you cite is in fact misleading. People of all ages at high risk from COVID generally benefit from vaccines,” Lieu tweeted. “Prior natural immunity may last only a few months. COVID appears to be a leading cause of death for children.”
Later, Musk responded to another tweet that read: “@tedlieu The preprint you linked to has actually been re-written as a result of my critique because it is seriously flawed and inaccurate. You linked to the old version.”
Musk later verified Lieu’s claims through Twitter, “Ted is linking to misleading data @CommunityNotes.”

A stunning effort by Jim Baker, a former FBI agent who is now Twitter’s deputy general counsel, was revealed on Monday thanks to a bombshell Twitter Files release. As a result of just urging people to not be terrified of COVID-19, he sought to suspend President Donald Trump from his account, demonstrating a grave violation of his free speech rights.
“In a surreal exchange, Jim Baker, at the time Twitter’s Deputy General Counsel, asks why telling people to not be afraid wasn’t a violation of Twitter’s Covid-19 misinformation policy,” reported Zweig.
Following the sharing of a picture of an email between Baker and Yoel Roth, the former director of Trust and Safety at Twitter, the dialogue disclosed several previously unrevealed facts about their connection. “Why isn’t this POTUS tweet a violation of our COVID-19 policy (especially the “Don’t be afraid of COVID statement)?”
The surprising proposal that the President of the United States be barred due to his optimism by a former FBI asset generated an interesting question: what other abuses of power had this employee undertaken while in office?
Roth understood the need to let Baker know that having hope for a better future is not something to be punished for.
“Adding you to the main thread on this subject. In short, this tweet is a broad, optimistic statement. It doesn’t incite people to do something harmful, nor does it recommend against taking precautions or following mask directives (or tother guidelines). It doesn’t fall within the published scope of our policies. Curious whether you have a different read on it, though,” Roth answered.

It was “one of the first meeting requests from the Biden White House” that “COVID misinformation” be put down. Due of his reporting, they deliberately targeted Berenson.
“Berenson sued (and then settled with) Twitter. In the legal process Twitter was compelled to release certain internal communications, which showed direct White House pressure on the company to take action on Berenson,” Zweig penned.
