Unbelievable! Read What the Judge Said about Kari Lake

Judge Gregory Martin’s official declaration of Katie Hobbs as the victor in the Arizona governor’s election sends Kari Lake a clear message that her effort to unseat the incumbent and Republican newcomer was fruitless. With this decision, Democrats have added another state to their political stronghold in the US.

The significant decision to dismiss eight of Lake’s 10 claims in her case against Arizona election irregularities was reached by a Maricopa County Superior Court Judge on Monday. On Wednesday and Thursday, the two remaining defendants were brought before the court for a trial in which it was debated whether or not there had been foul play regarding printer configurations and the chain of custody of the ballots on Election Day.

Thompson concluded that there was no “clear and convincing evidence of malfeasance in breach” on both charges and declared Hobbs to have been elected. Although Lake called a number of “expert” witnesses to the stand, it was insufficient to change the election’s outcome.

Despite losing by a significant margin, Lake won’t concede defeat and plans to appeal the outcome.

“My Election Case provided the world with evidence that proves our elections are run outside of the law,” she claimed. “This Judge did not rule in our favor. However, for the sake of restoring faith and honesty in our elections, I will appeal his ruling.”

It appears doubtful that a higher court will overturn the current decision despite the current ruling.

According to Maricopa County Attorney Thomas Liddy, the county is attempting to impose harsh penalties on individuals who defend someone who has been charged with a felony, claiming their representation was never admissible in court.

A lawyer may not go to court without the evidence necessary for a chance to prevail. Lake had to make up 17,117 votes. She failed to identify one lawful ballot that was not counted or one ballot that was counted that should not have been — and she knew that before she filed the contest.

The lawsuit against Hobbs has been called a “sham,” and Nicole DeMont, the campaign manager for Hobbs, has rallied their followers to fight back with confidence.

“We’re pleased that the courts have upheld the will of the voters, and Governor-Elect Hobbs is continuing the work of preparing to take office as Arizona’s next governor,” the statement read in part.

Before the much-awaited election, Lake steadfastly refused to declare defeat should her opponent end as winning.

During an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union in October, she said to the host Dana Bash, “I’m going to win the election, and I’m going to accept that conclusion.” It is uncertain whether Lake will ever accept and respect the election results and make a concession to the governor-elect.

The case is Lake v. Hobbs, No. CV 2022-095403, and it is being heard in Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona.
