A survey of more than a thousand probable American voters was conducted between December 9 and 14 and revealed that President Trump has a significant popularity advantage over any possible rivals as the 2020 election season approaches.
President Trump has continually maintained great popularity ratings among Americans, as seen in both the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, despite a concerted attempt by the media to downplay his support.
Polls have positioned Ron DeSantis as the front-runner despite the lack of data to back up this claim. He looks to have a 6% advantage over Trump, but further research into the polling data may provide more context and clarity.

The McLaughlin Poll’s careful probing of likely voters—a group recognized for boosting President Trump’s popularity in the polls—results in extremely trustworthy, accurate findings. In contrast, a strategy that just considers adults may drastically diminish his level of support since it ignores those who are more motivated and enthusiastic about voting.
In 2016, there were 258 million eligible voters, a substantial disparity still existed between those who cast ballots and those who did not. Nevertheless, despite tremendous resistance from the political establishment in Washington, D.C., Donald Trump continues to be the clear favorite among prospective primary voters, with 77% supporting his possible candidacy for 2022. Despite what may be stated at the highest levels of governance, it is clear that President Trump still has a large base of support among Americans.
With 48% of the expected voter vote, Donald Trump is comfortably ahead of the pack in the GOP nomination battle.
