Due to the RNC’s defeat in the November midterm elections, two state chapters have called for Ronna McDaniel’s resignation, putting her leadership under public scrutiny. Texas Republicans, who are joining Arizona’s protests against McDaniel as chairperson, have made the most recent demand.
On December 13, the Republican Party of Texas issued a formal resolution calling for the resignation of RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. On December 8, the Republican Party of Arizona joined Texas in criticizing Ronna McDaniel’s leadership.

With a prepared campaign staff, Senator McDaniel declared her intention to compete for re-election in the January election. Despite previous rumors that she would not run for reelection, new reports show that she has a lot of support from both her supporters and the media as she gets ready to relaunch her campaign.
“Support for the Chairwoman has only grown since her announcement.” Although Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) has declared himself a candidate, the race to replace McDaniel is far from done. There are still at least two more applicants under consideration.
