Trump Drops MAJOR News About McCarthy

Former President Donald Trump recently gave House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy his considerable political clout in an effort to help the GOP defeat California Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is now the incumbent. This is simply another illustration of how Mr. Trump’s imposing presence still dominates the political landscape of the nation.

President Trump publicly endorsed Kevin McCarthy for the position of House Speaker on Friday in Florida. He believes Mr. McCarthy has appropriately demonstrated leadership and determination throughout his career to earn this chance of a lifetime – thus making it essential that he is given the opportunity to serve Republicans on Capitol Hill with distinction.

“I like him,” Regarding McCarthy, Trump stated.

Trump made it plain in his remarks that his friends should not oppose McCarthy because doing so may have negative effects on their party. Despite a warning from Trump, Representatives Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Matt Rosendale (R MT), Bob Good (R VA), and Ralph Norman are putting a lot of effort into getting someone other than McCarthy elected as the House Minority Leader.

“I think it’s a very dangerous game that’s being played It’s a very dangerous game. Some bad things could happen,” President Trump foresaw that the decision to replace then-Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) with now-former Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) in 2015 would be an expensive one.

“Look, we had Boehner, and he was a strange person, but we ended up with Paul Ryan, who was ten times worse. Paul Ryan was an incompetent speaker. I think he goes down as the worst speaker in history. We took [out] Boehner—and a group of people, some of whom are the same, and they’re very good friends of mine. All those people are very good friends of mine,” Added Trump.

Breitbart continued:

Several well-known conservatives, including Congressmen Jim Jordan (R-OH) and James Comer, nationally renowned radio presenter Mark Levin, and President Trump, have repeated their concerns about Big Tech censorship (R-KY). Similar concerns about the growth in limited speech on digital platforms have been voiced by newly elected Rep. Harriet Hageman in the wake of Liz Cheney’s exit from Wyoming politics.

In contrast to John Boehner, Paul Ryan’s stint as Speaker of the House, according to President Trump, was “like a historic global leader.” Even further, he said that Republicans must now deal with this “maniac,” who is harming them due to his membership on the board of the Fox Corporation and harming journalistic organizations like Fox News and the New York Post.

“Think of it—we ended up with Paul Ryan. Boehner was like Winston Churchill compared to Paul Ryan,” Trump said. “Boehner wasn’t perfect—nobody’s perfect—but Paul Ryan was a disaster for the Republican Party. That’s what we got. Now we have to live with him. He’s destroying Fox and he’s destroying the New York Post. We got to live with this maniac.

“This guy, Paul Ryan, couldn’t have gotten elected in his own area of Wisconsin. I went with him after I won the election and we had a tremendous crowd of people and they booed him off the stage. You remember that? They booed him off the stage. This guy is now telling Fox what to do,” he said.

When asked whether he backed the California Republican for the position, Trump responded: “Yeah, I support McCarthy.”

“Look, I think this: Kevin has worked very hard,” Trump said. “He is just—it’s been exhausting. If you think, he’s been all over. I think he deserves the shot. Hopefully, he’s going to be very strong and going to be very good, and he’s going to do what everybody wants.”

The 45th President spoke on McCarthy’s resistance inside the Republican Party, emphasizing his commitment to preserving party cohesion amid a split party.

“Now, I’m friendly with a lot of those people who are against Kevin. I think almost every one of them are very much inclined toward Trump, and me toward them. But I have to tell them, and I have told them, you’re playing a very dangerous game,” he said. “You could end up with the worse situation. I don’t even want to say what it is, but I could tell you it’s a worse situation. You could end up with some very bad situations.

“I use the Boehner to Paul Ryan example. You understand what I’m saying? It could be a doomsday scenario. It could be. You could end up with somebody who would be a disaster like Paul Ryan was,” Further, he observed.
