Arizona’s early voting numbers are revealing a closely divided electorate, with Republicans holding a slim advantage in returned ballots as the November midterm elections approach. The latest figures also highlight the importance of independent voters and the growing role of campaign spending in the final stretch of the election cycle.
According to an Election Data Guy graphic dated October 26, Arizona had received 937,650 early ballots statewide. Republicans accounted for 361,264 of those ballots, representing 38.53% of the total. Democrats followed closely behind with 360,335 ballots, or 38.43%.
That leaves Republicans ahead by just 929 ballots, a margin that underscores how competitive Arizona’s political landscape remains.
The difference is small enough that subsequent returns could change the standings. Nevertheless, the figures provide campaigns with a snapshot of participation among registered voters as Election Day draws closer.
