A 35-year-old man in China went to the hospital with what appeared to be a urinary problem. What doctors discovered instead turned into a medical case involving multiple foreign objects — including a sewing needle embedded dangerously close to the center of his heart.
The patient arrived at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Normal University in Changsha after suffering from painful urination and blood in his urine for roughly two weeks.
Nothing about his vital signs immediately suggested a potentially deadly heart problem.
