In July 2024, a gunman opened fire at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, striking Trump in the ear and killing attendee Corey Comperatore. Two months later, Secret Service agents confronted a man with a rifle near Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Then came April 25, 2026.
Gunfire erupted at the Washington Hilton as Trump attended the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. The president, Vice President JD Vance and other senior officials were immediately evacuated as Secret Service agents moved to stop the armed suspect.
