President Donald Trump abruptly ended his weekend at Camp David and returned to the White House earlier than scheduled, immediately drawing attention as tensions across the Middle East continued to intensify.
Trump had been expected to remain at the presidential retreat until Sunday evening. Instead, he returned to Washington roughly a day early. The White House has not publicly provided a specific explanation for the change in plans.

Trump’s early return came as the Middle East confronted a fresh wave of violence involving Iran, Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi movement. On Saturday, the Houthis claimed missile and drone attacks against targets in Riyadh, while flames and heavy smoke were reported near the Saudi capital’s airport.
